First Days, First Impressions

A human, brightly colored as a Gypsy came stumbling into the tavern where I was refreshing myself after my long journey. He apparently had memory loss. He had been set upon by bandits out of town. I dressed his head wound, but unfortunately was not able to do much more. I nearly called up healing magics but remembered my oaths. It seems, tho, that the energy didn't come to hand as it used to. I will have to find out more about this strangeness.

“The captain” glanced at the wounded man saying “this is the wrong place to come” and offered no assistance at first. He said that although he could heal the man, we should go to the Gloomwood embassy. He said no one with sanity goes there & described it as getting darker as one gets closer, with a line of sick people waiting for healing.

A white tiger Sarr Xnyl entered in wine purple skirts, hand glowing, entered. Her mate, another white tiger Sarr, Nerrik, came with her. The Captain offered people a job as crew on his ship, which he said would grant the Sarr immunity from being captured as slaves. He has not elaborated how, so I must assume it is from the shared protection of a group of people loyal to one another. Unfortunately, he is now dead and obliterated, by the Red Blade. The folk here seem willing, at least tentatively, to want to work together, so I believe there is hope for our common safety and freedom.
